In the celebration program for the 954th anniversary of the Malazgirt Victory held in Ahlat, President Erdoğan made a striking statement regarding the process of a Terror-Free Turkey.

Yesterday in Ahlat, we also reunited with our youth. We fully breathed in the spacious and dignified atmosphere of the Dome of Islam. "I THANK EACH OF MY VALUABLE BROTHERS SEPARATELY" Today, we are in Malazgirt on the 954th anniversary of that exceptional victory. I thank each of you, my valuable brothers, who filled this square to the brim and shared in our excitement. Young people, may the 954th anniversary of the Malazgirt Victory, where we sent the strongest message to the world saying 'We are here and we will be here until the Day of Judgment,' be blessed. May the souls of the great commander Sultan Alparslan, his brave soldiers, veterans, and raiding units, and every soldier of that heroic army be blessed.
My valuable brothers, on that blessed day which heralded victory, the following sermon was delivered in mosques across the Islamic world: 'O Allah, raise the banner of Islam and help Alparslan. Bring his intentions and determination to a successful conclusion. Just as he obeyed Your call and did not show negligence in protecting his religion, and confronted his enemies personally, turning night into day, grant him victory. Assist him in his wishes. Let his fate manifest for him.'
After performing the Friday prayer on August 26, Sultan Alparslan appeared before his army in the white garment he wore as a shroud and addressed the warriors with these impactful words: 'O my soldiers and commanders, how long will we wait like this, with us in the minority and the enemy in the majority? I want to attack the enemy at this hour when Muslims are praying for us from the pulpits. If we win, the desired result will be achieved. Otherwise, we will go to heaven as martyrs.'
"WE REMEMBER SULTAN ALPARSLAN AND HIS ARMY ONCE AGAIN" Today, we once again respectfully remember Sultan Alparslan, who fearlessly charged at the enemy after tying his horse's tail, and his army. We pray for mercy from Allah for all our martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, the flag, the nation, and the community, from the first raids in front of Ahlat and Malazgirt to the first days of conquest.
"THAT STRONG WILL IS HERE TODAY" Dear brothers, beloved youth; that strong will which defeated the enemy in Malazgirt and opened all the doors of Anatolia is right here today. I can almost see the green curtain on the pulpit swelling with the wind from the battlefields, in front of the pulpit where the veterans in Malazgirt swore in the name of Allah, and above the hands raised to Allah. The powerful spirit described by our late master Nurettin Topçu is, thank God, present in Malazgirt Square today. The sacred values for which the heroes who wrote the epic shoulder to shoulder in Malazgirt sacrificed their lives are right here. I want to express this especially. It is this faith that brought together Sultan Alparslan's victory with Sultan Fatih, who delivered it to Yavuz Sultan Selim.
"WE STRIVE FOR A GREAT AND STRONG TURKEY" Now look, dear brothers, with the courage and self-confidence we gained from the epic of heroism written 954 years ago in the Malazgirt Plain, we walk towards the future. We are working with all our might to preserve these lands, which our ancestors made our homeland with their blessed blood, as our eternal homeland.
Despite all kinds of obstacles, all kinds of blockades, and all kinds of sabotage, we are literally striving for a great and strong Turkey. I want to sincerely express this here: Today, we live in a Turkey that does not bow to any power when its existence is at stake. Today, we have a state that has become a hope for the oppressed and victims, along with its own citizens. Today, we have a country and a government that supports the Palestinian cause with all its means on every platform and never leaves its Gazan brothers alone in the face of Israel's despicable atrocities. We are defending Gaza's rights and law in the strongest way through letter diplomacy, phone calls, international meetings, and our aid exceeding 102 thousand tons.
"WE ARE IN A PROCESS WHERE WE WILL REAP THE RESULTS OF OUR EFFORTS" No matter what anyone says, we are fulfilling the attitude that befits us and our nation without bending, breaking, and without fear of anyone. My dear brothers, we are now in a process where we will reap the results of all these efforts. In the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process we initiated to completely demolish the walls of discord woven among the individuals of our nation, thank God, we have made significant progress in a short time. Despite the efforts of those who feed on blood and conflict to sabotage the process, all our institutions continue their work with meticulousness, aiming for unity and endless brotherhood. We are closely following the work being carried out among our nation with a hopeful approach as much as it is careful.
"THOSE WHO TURN THEIR DIRECTION TOWARDS ANKARA WILL WIN" It is noted by our nation who sincerely supports the process and who is trying to poison it with unrelated agendas. One thing is for sure, as Turkey progresses towards completely solving the terrorism issue, attacks, sabotage, and traps will also increase.

They will sometimes do this with lies and disinformation, sometimes by stirring up the sensitivities of society. Sometimes they will do it by spreading fear among our people. Sometimes they will use their agents inside and outside the country. Sometimes they will do it by appearing as if they are from the Mediterranean. But no matter what they do, this time they will not succeed.
With God's permission and the support of our nation, no one will be able to stand in front of the atmosphere of hope that has been created this time. Those who have profited from separation, division, and discord among brothers for years will not win this time, God willing. Dear brothers and sisters, I want my esteemed nation to know this very well along with you: We are all, as 86 million, a large family brought together by history, culture, our common civilization, and our beliefs.
We are not individuals of a separate nation; we all live under the same flag and the same sky. Remember, there is a place for all of us. This flag, which takes its color from the blood of our martyrs, is ours. This blessed homeland, where a hero lies beneath every inch of soil, is ours. This country is ours. It belongs to each and every one of the 86 million. Our Turkey is also the safest harbor for our brothers beyond our borders when they are in trouble.
Look, we saw this in Iraq. We saw this for 14 years in our neighbor Syria. We have seen this before in the Balkans, in the Caucasus, and in many corners of our heartland. Tomorrow, the homeland of those who are oppressed, marginalized, persecuted, and face death will again be Turkey and the Turkish nation.
Therefore, just like all our brotherly peoples in Syria, the security, peace, and well-being of the Kurds are guaranteed by Turkey. Those who turn their faces towards Ankara and Damascus will win; those who respect brotherhood and neighborly relations will win. Those who lose their direction and seek new foreign masters will eventually lose.
"IF THE SWORD IS DRAWN FROM ITS SHEATH, THERE WILL BE NO PLACE FOR WORDS" I repeat. If the sword is drawn from its sheath, there will be no place for words. We are in favor of establishing lasting peace in our entire region. We are in favor of solving problems through dialogue and diplomacy.
No one should forget: Turks, Arabs, and Kurds will live together side by side in this geography until the Day of Judgment. Even after those who feed on Muslim blood have withdrawn from the stage of history, we will still be here. Remember, we will be in Malazgirt.
As the children of Sultan Alparslan and Saladin, Turkey will realize its 100-year vision of a great and strong Turkey, then a terror-free Turkey, and then a terror-free region, hand in hand and heart to heart. We will sing not songs of separation, but hopefully songs of brotherhood. We will not mourn our losses; we will joyfully celebrate our common successes with victory marches. I especially expect every citizen who stands against terror, blood, tears, and division to support our efforts. And I remember with gratitude our commanders and Mehmet who contributed to this nation reaching these days.
'If you squeeze the soil, the martyrs will gush forth; O martyr, may my entire being be taken, but let not my homeland be separated from me in this world.' I pray that God is our helper and supporter.
