It has been revealed that journalist Meryem Abu Daqa, who lost her life in the attack on the Nasser Hospital in Gaza by Israel yesterday, had a wish for her son: "When you grow up and get married, if you have a daughter, give her my name."
The Israeli army carried out two separate attacks on the Nasser Hospital located in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, yesterday. According to a statement from the Gaza Ministry of Health, 20 people, including journalists and healthcare workers, lost their lives in the attacks on Nasser Hospital.

In the attack, Hossam El-Masri, a photojournalist from Reuters, Mohammed Selame, a cameraman from the Qatar-based Al Jazeera television, Meryem Ebu Dekka, who worked for various media outlets including Independent Arabia and AP, Muaz Ebu Taha, a journalist from the US-based NBC News, and journalist Ahmed Ebu Aziz lost their lives.
