A notable development occurred after Greek Defense Minister Dendias stated that they would deploy missiles to hundreds of islands in the Aegean. It was reported that Greece will procure a PULS-type multiple rocket launcher system from Israel worth 692 million euros. According to the agreement, spare parts for the PULS will be produced in Greece, and the manufacturing company Elbit will provide training to Greek technicians.

According to a report by Kathimerini newspaper, the special committee of the Greek Parliament regarding armament will discuss the procurement of Israeli-made PULS type multiple rocket launcher systems valued at 692 million euros tomorrow.

During the meeting tomorrow, the committee will also receive information about underwater mine detection and neutralization tools worth a total of 100 million euros, as well as the modernization of MEKO type 5-inch (127 mm) main guns and the electronic warfare program.

The briefing to the committee will be followed by a presentation from Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias regarding the procurements. Subsequently, the arms purchases will be submitted for approval by the General Assembly of the Parliament. The procurements will be part of Greece's medium-term defense program, Achilles Shield.
