The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, claimed that Mücahit Birinci offered a release and 2 million dollars in exchange for signing a 1.5-page statement targeting Ekrem İmamoğlu and Murat Ongun, in the investigation of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality involving Murat Kapki. In response to Özel's allegation, Birinci said, "Let these nonsense come to an end, and I will give you a response within the timeframe I foresee. Nothing will be the same as before."
After the claims of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, the first statement came from AK Party lawyer Mücahit Birinci.
Özel, in his explosive claim, said, "We have come to the birthday gift of the AK Party. This is a lawyer friend who is involved with the AK Toroslar gang, who goes to detained businessman Murat Kapki in the İBB investigation. Murat Kapki is one of the owners of a very large company that did a lot of business while İBB was under the AK Party and also did business with various public institutions. He has been forced to confess multiple times, has given statements of effective remorse, but he has been kept inside because he did not give the statements requested from him and did not provide false testimony."
"NOTHING WILL BE THE SAME AS BEFORE"
In response to these words, lawyer Mücahit Birinci gave a swift reply. Birinci stated, "Once this nonsense ends, I will give you a response within the timeframe I foresee, Özgür Özel. It won't take long. Nothing will be the same as before."
ÖZEL: YOU WILL BURN AS MUCH AS YOUR CRIME
These words of Birinci were asked to Özel during the press conference. Özel replied, "You will burn as much as your crime."
