The highly anticipated speech of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel took place. Özel claimed that AK Party lawyer Mücahit Birinci demanded a release and 2 million dollars in exchange for signing a 1.5-page statement targeting Ekrem İmamoğlu and Murat Ongun, regarding the businessman Murat Kapki, who is currently detained in the İBB investigation.

CHP General Chairman Özgür Özel addressed President Erdoğan during a rally he held yesterday in Bayrampaşa, saying, "Your AK Party anniversary gift is coming, wait for 12 tomorrow," indicating today. Özel, who was curious about what he would say, made statements in front of the cameras.

In his speech, Özel said, "We have come to the birthday gift of the AK Party," claiming that lawyer Mücahit Birinci had a secret meeting with businessman Murat Kapki, who was arrested in the İBB investigation, and offered a deal.

ÖZEL'S CLAIM ABOUT MURAT KAPKİ

We have come to the birthday gift of the AK Party. A lawyer friend who is part of the AK Toroslar gang goes to businessman Murat Kapki, who is detained in the İBB investigation. Murat Kapki is one of the owners of a very large company that did a lot of business while İBB was under the AK Party and also did business with various public institutions. This friend talks to Kapki on July 31 and puts a 1.5-page statement in front of him, saying, "You will sign this. You will also give 2 million dollars on top. You will leave from here." He wants him to name various people and relate these events to them. With a multitude of claims, it is such a statement that is extraordinarily risky, insulting to journalists, making a move related to the CHP's long-standing failures with their congress, establishing the slander against Fatih Keleş that they have never been able to do, and saying that he will be against giving 2 million dollars. "Sign this statement, give the 2 million dollars, and I will be your guarantee in the media," he says.

Özel stated that in Murat Kapki's application to the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Birinci told him, "You will surrender to me for a week, you will not ask questions, everything is permissible to get out." Kapki argued that this offer was aimed at obtaining release and material gain in exchange for false statements.
