The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the Southern Transitional Council, supported by the UAE, to withdraw from the areas under their control in the ongoing civil war in Yemen.

SAUDI PLANES STRIKE YEMEN

Today, Saudi Arabian warplanes carried out airstrikes against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in the oil-rich Hadramaut region in southeastern Yemen.

An unnamed Yemeni official reported that the strikes targeted positions belonging to "elite forces" of the Southern Transitional Council.

"NEVER SEEN BEFORE"

The official stated that a similar attack had not been seen before, indicating that the strike served as a strong warning to the Southern Transitional Council. The official noted that the attack created pressure for the evacuation of positions in Hadramaut and warned that if the warnings were not heeded, further military intervention could occur. No statement was made regarding any casualties from the airstrike. There has been no official statement from Saudi Arabia regarding the incident.

"WE ARE OPEN TO COOPERATION WITH SAUDI ARABIA"

The Southern Transitional Council stated that they would not be deterred by the attacks but expressed their openness to cooperation with the Riyadh administration, saying, "We confirm that such activities will not serve any reconciliation and will not hinder the progress of the southern people in regaining their full rights." The statement emphasized their openness to "any coordination or arrangement" that would guarantee security and unity in the south of the country, prevent security threats, and meet both the expectations of the southern population and the mutual interests with Saudi Arabia.
