The spokesperson of the AK Party, Ömer Çelik, commented on U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza, stating, "The approach expressed by the U.S. administration regarding 'the Palestinians leaving Gaza' is not a proposal for a solution; it is an attempt at exile, displacement, ethnic cleansing, and the usurpation of the homeland of the Palestinian people. This is contrary to the most fundamental human rights and international law, and it has no legitimacy whatsoever."
US President Donald Trump's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the Gaza plan has drawn criticism from Ömer Çelik, Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson of the AK Party.
"ATTEMPT TO USURP THE HOMELAND OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE"
In a statement made via social media, Çelik emphasized that the suggestion for Palestinians to leave Gaza is not a solution, describing this approach as an "attempt to usurp the homeland of the Palestinian people," which is also contrary to international law.

In his statement, Çelik included the following remarks: "The approach expressed by the US administration suggesting that 'Palestinians should leave Gaza' is not a solution proposal; it is an attempt at exile, deportation, ethnic cleansing, and usurpation of the homeland of the Palestinian people. This is contrary to the most fundamental human rights and international law, and it has no legitimacy. Furthermore, this approach promotes a policy of genocide."

We strongly defend the right of the Palestinian people to live in their homeland. We oppose any form of imposition on the will of the people of Gaza. The only solution, as our President has consistently and resolutely advocated on all global platforms at every stage of his political life, is the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and territorially integral State of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the 1967 borders.
"GAZA BELONGS TO THE PALESTINIANS"
This political principle put forth by our President is also a common will of humanity's conscience. We reiterate once again: Gaza belongs to the Palestinians. Gaza is the rightful land of the State of Palestine.
WHAT DID TRUMP SAY?
US President Donald Trump stated during a press conference held with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the US that they would economically develop the region after the relocation of approximately 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza, saying, "The United States will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do business with it." The US President added, "We will take ownership of it and will be responsible for the removal of all dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons there."
