After the MYK meeting, AK Party spokesperson Ömer Çelik made statements denying the allegations of negotiations with the terrorist organization PKK in unequivocal terms. Çelik stated, "The dissolution of the terrorist organization is our fundamental approach. There is no negotiation or bargaining process regarding the nature of the state and the values of our nation."

STATEMENTS FROM ÖMER ÇELİK AFTER THE AK PARTY MYK MEETING

Spokesperson Çelik reacted to claims regarding a negotiation process with the terrorist organization following the call made by PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan. Denying the claim, Çelik stated: "We are making our evaluations regarding the stage reached to achieve the goal of a Turkey without terrorism with great sensitivity. We are closely monitoring the entire process. The message created by this picture has become a meaningful reference source from the perspective of the world, reflecting the messages given by the overwhelming majority of politics. Considering the strategies employed by destabilizing states in the region to pit the local populations against each other and to cause more pain and tears, Turkey's strengthening of the Turkish-Kurdish-Arab-Alevi-Sunni unity within itself is actually the core of a vision that encompasses the entire Middle East, as demonstrated by the terrorist movements instigated by imperialist powers.

"THE DISSOLUTION OF TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS IS OUR FUNDAMENTAL APPROACH"

We are making it clear that we do not accept the destabilizing attitudes of terrorist formations regarding Iraq, Syria, and our brother countries in the region. The disarmament of the terrorist organization, the dissolution of the terrorist organization, and the disbandment of all its elements in Iraq and Syria are our fundamental approach. Whether it is called PKK, YPG, or SDG, our fundamental approach is to eliminate all terrorist structures from being destabilizing elements in the region. We have put forward a strong brotherhood policy to further strengthen the brotherhood of our Turkmen, Arab, and Kurdish brothers.

Just as we oppose any pressure on our brothers, for example, our Kurdish brothers by any terrorist organization, we have stated that if any state or certain proxy elements affiliated with that state threaten Turkmen, Arab, Alevi, Sunni, Druze, or Nusayri, the Republic of Turkey will be clearly against it. We continue to maintain this stance.

"WE HAVE SEEN STEPS AIMED AT SABOTAGING THE PROCESS"

Whenever steps are taken towards the disarmament and dissolution of terrorist organizations in our region, including Iraq and Syria, we have seen in the past that some states have attempted to sabotage this process. We have observed that certain states, which pursue other projects that would be against the local populations and seize the wealth and welfare of the people in the region, have taken steps to sabotage this process through proxy forces.

In Syria, the presence of uniforms belonging to certain terrorist organizations in the bases of some states has been noted. When the so-called headquarters of one terrorist organization was captured, uniforms belonging to another terrorist organization were found there. All of these are indicators of certain sabotage activities. Years ago, our intelligence agency captured someone who had previously been in one terrorist organization and was now operating in another opposing organization, and he was in close contact with an intelligence agency.

"THE GOAL OF A TERRORISM-FREE TURKEY"

We are paying maximum attention to the political sabotage attempts of some states, organizations, and proxy forces. Our President emphasized once again the need for the necessary diligence and care to achieve the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey at the beginning of our MYK meeting. The language used must be extremely careful against sabotage. We are cautious against provocations. We have extensive and deep experience in this regard. We are on alert against attempts by some states to gain leverage against Turkey through terrorist organizations and the sabotage they will carry out with certain proxy forces.

While striving to achieve a terrorism-free Turkey, we express our principles in a very clear and transparent manner. We see that approaches benefiting states and proxy forces that do not want terrorism to end in the region are emerging, which we would directly call political lies. Those making such statements would benefit from behaving more carefully as politicians. As a result, no concessions have been made. When the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey is achieved, regardless of whether we are Turkish, Kurdish, Alevi, or Sunni, our surname will be the Republic of Turkey.

"THERE IS NO NEGOTIATION PROCESS WITH THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION"

We still see some politicians discussing what concessions the state has made in return for all these processes as we enter the MYK meeting. There is no negotiation or give-and-take process regarding the nature of the state and the values of our nation. The values of our state have a high accumulation that will encompass all our citizens. The essential thing is to solve our problems through democracy and politics.

Whether these problems are identity issues or other issues that have emerged in social life, their solutions will be realized more through democracy. We see that some circles are using wrong statements towards the families of martyrs. Our President always breaks his fast with our martyr families and veterans, as he has done every year. We pray to Almighty God to reward our martyrs with the greatest rewards.

"WE ARE AWARE OF THE SACRIFICE OF OUR MARTYRS"

We are aware of the sacrifice of our martyrs, and we carry this on our heads and shoulders. We will fully uphold the trust that our martyrs left us so that we can live in unity, integrity, freedom, and independence in this country, and we will ensure that our country, nation, and state walk towards the future with the strongest steps. I want to clearly express that no step will be taken that would hurt our martyr families and veterans.

There are some expressions that we can never accept, such as changing the constitution, and definitions of the homeland, flag, and nation. The expression of one homeland, one state, one flag, one nation is the future of Turks, Arabs, Circassians, and Sunnis. In the framework of preserving this unity and integrity, we walk these paths with confidence in our historical consciousness and geographical awareness and the great accumulation it brings.

In Turkey's past, the reduction of democracy, the concealment of democracy for our Kurdish, headscarf-wearing, Alevi brothers, and the distancing of democracy from the nation through veils and walls, the mutilation of democracy through coups, and the wrong practices have imposed great pressures on the most fundamental rights and freedoms of our citizens.

The inability of our veiled girls to enter university, along with the lack of speaking in their mother tongue, clearly shows that certain external projects and some fascist, one-sided approaches that deny the law and democracy of the nation have also led to these results.

"WE WILL NOT GIVE UP OUR BROTHERHOOD"

We will not give up our brotherhood. The unity of our citizens has always shown that living together in brotherhood enables a correct brotherhood policy towards the people of the region. This is something that the enemies of Kurds, Turks, Alevis, and Sunnis do not want. The enmity that those who try to sow discord among us are attempting targets us all. Rain blesses everyone, and the sun warms everyone. There is no issue that we cannot solve with high democratic standards.

"WE WILL REACH THE RESULT TOGETHER WITH THE DISARMAMENT"

Today, we hope to reach this result together with the disarmament and the dissolution of the terrorist organization. Of course, we will keep our attention against sabotage and the failure to keep certain promises. The call of our President to strengthen the internal front and the historic call of Mr. Devlet Bahçeli have produced an effective message showing that we support a brotherhood policy against the evil networks in the region. This has come to our agenda as a requirement of our historical consciousness and geographical awareness.

"OUR SURNAME IS TURKEY REPUBLIC"

Of course, this is a process that requires us to be meticulous against various provocations and sabotages that need to be closely monitored. What we say against certain false narratives is this: even if our names are different, our surname is Turkey Republic. The discussion that started with Ukraine and later jumped to NATO between the US administration and the EU indicates that a new situation has emerged today, which could even mean conflict in certain issues. The order established after World War II seems to have come to an end.

This order has been unraveling for quite some time. The ineffectiveness and discrediting of the responsible institutions and the lack of effectiveness have been debated for a long time. It shows that the point has been reached where we can say it is not a tactical divergence but a strategic divergence between the method the US administration desires to end the Ukraine-Russia war and the EU's approach to providing security guarantees for Ukraine or continuing the fight against Russia.

The center-right and left politics have not been able to show sufficient resistance against the far-right, which is moving towards Turkish and Islamic hostility. They tried to approach the agenda of the far-right. This has grown the far-right. Today, AFD has become the second party in Germany. The EU's selfishness on the issue of values and its inability to come together on the basis of principles is clear.

Chapters are opened, and you, as a country, fulfill the obligations related to these chapters, these chapters close, and new chapters open. Those who engage in hypocrisy on values have even prevented the opening of chapters. They could not even dare to negotiate with Turkey. The far-right has been rising steadily. Our President said, 'The solution to all the problems the EU is experiencing is in Turkey.'

"TURKEY HAS ALWAYS BEEN A STRONG EUROPEAN STATE"

Turkey has always been a strong European state throughout history. It has a democracy that can communicate with European democracies. This should have been well evaluated by the EU. They thought they could protect our values by closing in on ourselves. There was something we often said; Europeans remember Turkey in security matters, but when we say let’s share prosperity and be at the same table in growing democracy, they do not give Turkey a place.

"TURKEY HAS AGAIN BECOME THE AGENDA IN EUROPE"

Now, Turkey has again become the agenda in Europe. I hope they do not only bring it to the agenda with defense issues. They should enter into clear communication with Turkey on all matters, including democratic values and the initiation of high-level dialogues. The EU has no other solution but to cooperate with Turkey to protect its political gains. Even in the last Ukraine summit, the EU could not participate fully. Some EU countries did not attend. The EU is unable to transition from the technocracy it has fallen into to fulfill the requirements of democratic politics. This technocracy is suffocating democracy. The way for Europe to become a real global power is only possible through cooperation with Turkey.

Regarding the US's mention of spending in NATO and Ukraine, they say, 'let's increase defense spending.' They are talking about a major arms race. These are not solutions. Correct diplomacy, a security architecture based on political values will make this possible. If they can establish a proper relationship with Turkey, we will have passed an important stage to overcome this crisis.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

(Statements of CHP leader Özel) In general, we see a great deal of diligence and attention, including the first statement made by the CHP regarding this issue. Of course, caution will be exercised. Sensitivities will be expressed regarding the process from now on. Certain approaches will be put forward for the subsequent stages. No one should enter a position that confronts the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey. Generally, we see a common sense regarding the disarmament of weapons and the dissolution of the terrorist organization.

Unfortunately, some are turning to the state and the government, asking, 'What did you give in return for this process?' We said this is not a matter of give and take. Some are trying to impose conditions on the state in the field of law and politics. We exclude these two approaches. These two approaches are not correct. Therefore, the first written statement made by Mr. Özgür appeared quite balanced and reasonable. Within 24 hours, other statements began to come. The reports published by the CHP regarding the solution to this issue contained advanced expressions and suggestions. We discussed this in the past. The information given by Mr. Özel that members of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court are working on this issue is not correct. I see something within a month. Mr. Özgür was trying to speak as carefully as possible. When he targeted our commanders in the command hierarchy of the TSK in a 1-1.3 month process, he was saying, 'I heard it, they told me' regarding how he obtained this information.

Such a framework does not exist. The simplest reasoning suggests that it has emerged that someone who has served in the military in the past, later retired, and is currently serving in the CHP is passing gossip to Mr. Özel, who is mistaking it for information. We experienced this in relation to foreign policy as well. He was saying, 'I heard.' It is likely something produced by retired diplomats while serving in the CHP. This is not how politics works.

There is no such working order. These major issues, the liberation of Turkey from terrorism, certain democratization issues, and certain reforms are everyone's concern. In these situations, contributing to this, of course, is greatly facilitated through correct criticism, and there is a need for that. Speaking with different perspectives is always valuable. When a meaningful sentence is made, and there is a good analysis, we also perk up our ears. For example, during the budget discussions, I will not name them, two of our friends from opposition parties presented different perspectives on certain issues. I called them and asked. We took notes and worked on them.

While the command echelon of the TSK is being targeted, it is said regarding a commander, 'I know who you are trying to undermine.' These are rumors. These are approaches that should be sensitive based on the alphabet of politics. The contribution of the CHP to the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey is also very important. It is extremely important that this is done in a proper manner.

(Özel's statements regarding President Trump) I see something regarding the issues that Mr. Özgür Özel has directed towards our President on foreign policy matters. Our President has conducted hundreds, thousands of diplomatic efforts and has distinguished himself as a reliable mediator and a leader who produces reliable solutions in crises. There has been no international diplomatic initiative conducted by Mr. Özel so far. Regarding that clip, the evaluation of which words our President should say and which words he should not is not a familiar area for Özgür Özel. Our President knows when to say which sentence. What you are currently dealing with is not international relations at all. The issue you are dealing with is related to the crises within the CHP. It will be seen in time what stance our President will take and when. The counterparts already know this in the best way. When no one dared and everyone acted cautiously, we were in the UN hall when he said, 'The world is bigger than five.' People got used to this. When it was first said, it had a cold shower effect in the hall. Our President is the leader who knows best in the world when to use which gear in diplomacy.

(Trump-Zelenskiy debate) Different approaches are being produced on social media regarding that meeting. Equal relations should be established between states. The sovereignty of states should be respected. There should be an equal relationship between heads of state, which is appropriate for diplomatic courtesy. The table should never be overturned. Individuals should not be put in a position to overturn the table. Our President has expressed these. When things are going well, there is diplomacy. When there is a crisis, there is a need for diplomacy. When things are going well, you engage in friendly conversation. When there is a crisis and a problem, then diplomacy is needed. Unfortunately, there is currently a situation where diplomacy is most needed. Because there are many crises. There are great diplomatic schools in the world. One of them is the Turkish diplomatic school. It is one of the 5-6 schools in the world, the talent of Turkish diplomats. This talent has produced solutions in various crises. From Somalia to other issues, you can see how our President is appreciated in distant geographies of the world. We emphasized the importance of solving issues through diplomacy. We saw the stage; everyone should return to the diplomacy table and discuss these issues equally and sovereignly at eye level.

"THERE IS NO DATE OR AGENDA RELATED TO THE ELECTION"

"There is no date or agenda determined by the MYK and MKYK regarding the election. Our friends know that the re-election of our President and his vast experience is invaluable for Turkey. Therefore, they express their good wishes regarding the re-election of our President. However, there is no institutional election agenda or date. The government is in charge. We have a comprehensive and broad agenda for the resolution of Turkey and regional issues over the next 2-3 years. We did not discuss the election issue in either the MYK or the MKYK.

There are many requests, but we have two principles. The moral and political principles put forward.
