The Central Executive Board of the AK Party (MYK) convened under the chairmanship of President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan. AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made statements to the press about the ongoing meeting. Ömer Çelik made noteworthy remarks regarding the 'Early Election' statements of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik said:

Mr. Özgür had announced that he would not call for early elections after the local elections on March 31. It hasn't been much time since the elections. The statements about early elections are an expression that they do not deserve the votes given to them as a loan with the services they provide in municipalities. He said; We know that the votes given to us are borrowed votes. We will deserve these votes with municipal services. CHP does not have any projects to solve Turkey's fundamental problems. It went from normalization without reconciliation, from normalization to support for those who insult the citizens. AK Party is the party that will take Turkey to the Turkey Century. It is said that the opposition will convene a congress again. For CHP, the real agenda is not early elections. For this, Turkey needs a civilian constitution. Making a civilian constitution is a debt to future generations. Today, AK Party is the highest address of civilian politics and the greatest carrier of democracy.
