MUHARREM İNCE'S COMMENT SPARKED DEBATE

BABACAN'S EXCLUSIVE STATEMENTS TO HABERLER.COM

Ali Babacan, the leader of the DEVA Party, who participated in the live broadcast from the Haberler.com studio, responded to Muharrem İnce's remarks regarding the photo taken at the reception.

"THESE WORDS HAVE NO VALUE"

Speaking to News Director Olgun Kızıltepe and presenter Melis Yaşar, Babacan stated, "It has no value. We need to be aware that a person filled with inconsistencies can say this today and completely different things tomorrow. Therefore, it has no value. We can read that statement with a hundred percent discount, as if it has zero value."

"THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE CREATING SPECULATION"

Babacan, who stated that the reason for their meeting with President Erdoğan at the reception was entirely due to the Terror-Free Turkey process and the invitation from the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, emphasized that the photo should be interpreted in this context. He said, "In the photo, not just me, but all our deputies present that evening interpreted it that way. But the next day, we saw that there were many people interpreting that photo differently and creating various speculations. Yes, they are looking from the outside and interpreting it that way. But as the people in the photo, we say it this way. Now, whoever wants can interpret it however they wish. However, it is also true that the government tried to reflect that photo differently in the media. I didn't look today, but in the news I saw yesterday, there were also different reflections there."

"WE ARE FOR DIALOGUE IN POLITICS"

Look, I really like people in politics and journalism who have a clear line. Those who have a clear line. But I see some people who have no line, no direction. Where are they going, what are they doing? I can't read, I don't know. We love people who have a clear direction and line. It's not like that. However, we have talked about all these things, but in politics, we are always in favor of dialogue. We always say that the ruling and opposition parties should be in dialogue with each other. Because if the problems of this country are to be solved, they will be solved through conversation and dialogue.

"WE WANT TO BE IN DIALOGUE WITH EVERY PARTY"

So, you sit down with a political party, you talk, you listen to each other, you understand each other's positions, you explain your arguments, okay, that's one thing. But saying, 'Let's work together on this issue, let's collaborate on this issue,' is another thing. Therefore, we want to be in dialogue with every party. Moreover, the only party we have not been in dialogue with, with whom we have not exchanged greetings as the DEVA Party, has been the AK Party until today. Even the Nationalist Movement Party has been institutionalizing greetings with us for two holidays now. They wanted to celebrate the holiday with us institutionally during the last Eid al-Adha and the previous Ramadan holiday. Mr. Bahçeli called me before both holidays to congratulate me on the holiday."
