Head of the Turkish Delegation to the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (PARLATINO) and AK Party Gaziantep Deputy Ali Şahin, in his speech at the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly, conveyed messages of condolence and solidarity to the Venezuelan people shaken by the earthquake disaster. Şahin emphasized that Turkey stands by its brotherly Venezuela with all its means.
AK Party Gaziantep MP Ali Şahin stated in his speech from the Parliament podium that the pain experienced in Venezuela, shaken by the earthquake disaster, is deeply felt in Turkey.
Şahin used the following expressions:
"Venezuela's pain is Turkey's pain, Caracas' pain is Gaziantep's pain. Caracas' tears are the tears of Hatay, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya…"
"IT WILL RISE AGAIN FROM ITS OWN ASHES"
Referring to the earthquake pains Turkey experienced in the recent past, MP Ali Şahin, expressing deep solidarity with the disaster suffered by the Venezuelan people, drew attention to Latin America's historical heritage and strong stance. Şahin said, "The descendants of Simon Bolivar, who gave the spirit of resistance, rebirth, and existence to all of Latin America, will overcome this pain and disaster and rise again from their own ashes."
TURKEY IS ON THE FIELD WITH ALL ITS INSTITUTIONS
Stating that Turkey did not delay in extending a helping hand and that all relevant institutions are on alert, Şahin concluded his message of solidarity with the following words:
All of Turkey's aid and search and rescue teams, especially the TAF (TSK), AFAD, UMKE, and the Red Crescent (Kızılay), are alongside and at the service of the brotherly Venezuelan people.
Turkey will resolutely continue to provide all logistical and humanitarian support to overcome these difficult days.
Ali Şahin ended his speech in the General Assembly hall with the words "Viva Venezuela, Viva Caracas" (Long live Venezuela, Long live Caracas), sending a strong salute from the Turkish Grand National Assembly to the Venezuelan people.
