TEARS FLOWED LIKE A RIVER AT THE FUNERAL
After Selçuk Tektaş passed away at the hospital where he was being treated, he was laid to rest with a funeral prayer at Teşvikiye Mosque. Alişan, burying his brother in tears, had been in the spotlight for a long time due to the pain he experienced. The famous figure frequently stated that he could not recover for a long time after the loss.
“HE DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE HE WAS DYING”
Alişan, describing his brother's final moments at the hospital, had difficulty controlling his emotions. Stating that he cannot forget that period, the artist shared his immense pain with the words, “I didn’t see it, but the shouts and calls in that corridor while the doctors were performing CPR... We couldn’t talk at all because he was connected to a machine for a month. I asked the doctors if he realized he was dying. He passed away without even realizing he was dying. We couldn’t talk about anything. Nobody expected something like this.”
Alişan expressed that he went through one of the most difficult periods of his life after losing his brother. The famous singer emphasized that even though years have passed, his pain remains as fresh as the first day.
