With the announcement of the inflation data for December, the salary increase rates for civil servants and retirees in 2026 have been clarified. Along with the increase, not only salaries but also many items such as paid military service, severance pay ceiling, 65-year-old pension, and home care allowance have seen an increase.
2026 SALARY INCREASE RATES HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
The salary increase rates for civil servants and retirees, which concern millions, have been finalized with the announcement of the December inflation figures. Accordingly, SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirement pensions will be increased by 12.19%, while retirement salaries for civil servants and civil servant salaries will be increased by 18.60%.
ALONG WITH THE CIVIL SERVANT SALARY INCREASE, MANY PAYMENTS HAVE ALSO INCREASED
The increase in civil servant salaries has led to the re-determination of many payments and fees dependent on the civil servant salary coefficient. As of the new year, significant increases have occurred in severance pay ceiling, paid military service fee, social assistance payments, and child support items.
65-YEAR-OLD PENSION, HOME CARE ALLOWANCE, AND CHRONIC ILLNESS SUPPORT HAVE INCREASED
With the salary increase for civil servants, the 65-year-old pension has risen from 5,390 TL to 6,393 TL. The home care allowance has increased from 11,702 TL to 13,878 TL. Similarly, the chronic illness allowance has also risen from 11,702 TL to 13,878 TL.
NEW AMOUNTS FOR DISABILITY PENSIONS
Disability pensions have also increased. Accordingly, the disability pension for those with 40-69% disability has risen from 4,302 TL to 5,103 TL, while the disability pension for those with 70% and above has increased from 6,454 TL to 7,655 TL.
CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN UPDATED
Child support payments have also increased in the new year. Preschool child support has risen from 5,558 TL to 6,592 TL. Child support for primary school has increased from 8,337 TL to 9,888 TL, and child support for middle school has risen from 8,893 TL to 10,547 TL.
SEVERANCE PAY CEILING AND PAID MILITARY SERVICE FEE HAVE INCREASED
The severance pay ceiling has been raised from 53,919 TL to 63,948 TL. The paid military service fee has increased from 280,850 TL to 333,088 TL.

The final amounts regarding the paid military service fee and severance pay ceiling will be clarified with the announcement of the civil servant salary coefficient by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
