An attempt was made to attack Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bozbey. The individual who tried to punch Bozbey was neutralized and detained by police and municipal teams. It was learned that the person was a former CHP council member and had also attempted to attack former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Canan Kaftancıoğlu.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey met with citizens in Yıldırım as part of the "President Here" program. While he was speaking in front of the presidential caravan, an individual attempted to punch Bozbey. Bozbey's bodyguards, municipal police, and police teams neutralized the individual and took him into custody. It is believed that the attack attempt stemmed from a personal issue.
FORMER CHP COUNCIL MEMBER EMERGED
It has been revealed that the individual who attempted the attack was a former CHP council member. Additionally, it was learned that in 2019, he threw a microphone at the then CHP Istanbul Provincial President Canan Kaftancıoğlu during her visit to Yıldırım, which led to a fight at the meeting.

After the incident, Mustafa Bozbey stated that they do not attribute the attack to the Yıldırım district and its residents, saying, "I believe this is a personal matter. We will continue to embrace our people, meet with the people of Bursa, empathize with their troubles, and remain on the streets."
CONSIDERED A PERSONAL MATTER
Furthermore, it is thought that the incident may have originated from a personal issue, possibly due to an unfavorable outcome of a job application.
