American journalist Tucker Carlson reacted strongly to Donald Trump's statement that "Iran did this" regarding the school attack that resulted in the deaths of 168 people, including 153 students, in Iran. Carlson stated that targeting civilians is unacceptable in his remarks about the legitimacy of war.
"NOT WORTH FIGHTING"
In his statement, Carlson said, "To fight, you must believe at the deepest level that you are better than the people you are fighting. If you live in a country that thinks it's okay to kill not only officers but also their daughters when you wake up one morning, that country is not worth fighting for."
THEY ARE ON THE SAME SIDE BUT NOT AGREEING
Carlson, who is on the Republican side but does not hesitate to criticize Trump from time to time, had previously harshly criticized the Washington administration's operation against Iran, describing the attack as "completely disgusting and evil." The journalist had also criticized Trump for the Epstein case, support for Ukraine, and some foreign policy decisions.
TRUMP EXPELLED HIM FROM THE GROUP
U.S. President Donald Trump had responded to Carlson with harsh words. Trump stated that Carlson is no longer part of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.
In his statement, Trump said, "Tucker has lost his way. I realized this long ago, and he is no longer a MAGA member. MAGA is saving our country, making it great again. MAGA means old America, and Tucker has nothing to do with that. Tucker is not smart enough to understand this."
"I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM"
A quick response came from Carlson to Trump's statements. Although the famous journalist continued his criticisms of Trump, he stated that he does not have a negative attitude towards him personally.
Carlson said, "There are times when Trump annoys me, and this is undoubtedly one of those moments. But regardless of what he says about me, I will always love him."
