An 81-year-old woman was shot to death in her sleep with a shotgun by her husband.

In Mardin Mazıdağı, 81-year-old Latife Kaya was shot and killed in her sleep by her husband with a shotgun.

An 83-year-old man in Mardin shot his 81-year-old wife with a shotgun while she was sleeping.

ELDERLY WOMAN PASSES AWAY

The incident occurred in the Atalar neighborhood of the Mazıdağı district during the night. According to allegations, Ali K. (83) fired a shotgun at his sleeping wife, Latife Kaya, for an undetermined reason. Upon notification from the surrounding residents, 112 Emergency Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams that arrived at the scene determined that 81-year-old Latife Kaya had passed away after the first intervention.

THE CRIMINAL HUSBAND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

While Kaya's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy, Ali K. was taken into custody. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
