The 30% raise and 19% inflation difference proposed by İzBB bureaucrats and SODEM-SEN were accepted last night.

CHP Deputy Chair Gamze Taşcıer stated the following regarding the ongoing collective bargaining process between İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and DİSK General-İş Union: "I hope and believe that we will establish this compromise environment today. I believe that we will happily conclude this strike today with a result that will relieve the people of İzmir, ease our municipality, and satisfy our workers," she said.

DİSK General-İş İzmir Branch President Ercan Gül, after the acceptance of the proposal, stated, "Are you giving us the authority to sign? You have given the authority, and I respect it in whatever sense you have given it, but I want to sign this collective agreement as İZELMAN has signed, thinking about the future and not to be alone. I will never let this trust go to waste," he expressed.
