Indian climber Subrata Ghosh was found dead near the summit of Mount Everest, the highest point in the world. According to a report by The Himalayan Times, officials stated that Ghosh died just below the Hillary Step, near the summit of Mount Everest.

"REFUSED TO MOVE WHILE DESCENDING FROM THE SUMMIT"

Officials reported that 45-year-old climber Ghosh, who lost his life while descending from the summit of Mount Everest, showed signs of exhaustion and high-altitude sickness during his descent. Ghosh's guide, Palchen Tamang, stated, "Ghosh refused to move while descending from the summit." Authorities noted that efforts were ongoing to bring Ghosh's body to the base camp.

RECORDED AS THE SECOND DEATH

Ghosh's death has been recorded as the second death on Mount Everest this season. Filipino climber Philipp Santiago also lost his life after reaching Camp 4, located at an altitude of 7,900 meters on Everest. While it was reported that Santiago's cause of death was extreme fatigue, his lifeless body was left at the campsite due to bad weather conditions and logistical challenges. Poor planning and adverse weather conditions during climbs on Mount Everest have led to the deaths of some climbers.
