Michael Anthony Ganoe, a U.S. citizen and Israeli national, was taken into custody today after exhibiting provocative behavior in front of the municipality building in Saraçhane following the detention of CHP's İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu as part of a corruption and terrorism investigation, and was reported to be involved in "fifth column activities."

Ganoe, who was taken into custody by Istanbul Police Department teams for "inciting hatred and hostility among the public," was deported in the evening hours to Israel via a third country after legal action was taken against him under these charges. It was noted that Ganoe had engaged in provocative publications against the country during his stay in Istanbul, and he was deported at 20:30 Turkish time.
