Anadolu Agency Publishes Turkey's Fight Against Daesh

Book covers emergence of Daesh/ISIS, its expansion, executions, global terrorist attacks.

Anadolu Agency on Monday published a book laying out Turkey's operations against Daesh terror group, also known as ISIS .
The book, prepared by compiling the news broadcast of Anadolu Agency, covers the emergence of Daesh/ISIS, its expansion, executions and global terrorist attacks.
It also highlights Turkey's anti-terror operations to eliminate Daesh/ISIS in the country and abroad.
Senol Kazanci, director general of Anadolu Agency, wrote in the book's preface that Turkey had "utmost exposure to the Daesh/ISIS threat, having Syria and Iraq as neighbors and the Foreign Terrorist Fighters' military route situated in its territory".
"Turkey, shown as an example to the Muslim world by many, has been frequently targeted by the terrorist group, which gets its power from the exploitation of (the Islamic) religion," Kazanci added.
Kazanci went on to write that Turkey has also been "one of the most effective contributors to the fight against the foreign terrorist fighters -- that were mainly linked with Daesh/ISIS terrorist group -- with the national, regional and international steps it has taken".
Since recognizing Daesh/ISIS as a terror group in 2013, Turkey has been attacked by terrorists numerous times, including 10 suicide bombings, seven bombings and four armed attacks which killed 315 people and injured hundreds.
In response to the attacks, Turkey launched anti-terror operations at home and abroad, neutralizing 3,500 Daesh/ISIS terrorists and arresting 5,500.
