While three of the suspects were captured and taken into custody, it was reported that efforts were ongoing to apprehend the remaining four individuals. A press release from the Ağrı Governorate stated the following regarding the incident: "It has been determined that a group of seven individuals, who were dancing the traditional "halay" in a wedding hall in Doğubayazıt district, chanted slogans in favor of the PKK leader, as seen in some social media posts. Three suspects were apprehended by the Provincial Police Department in coordination with the Ağrı Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of "Making Propaganda for a Terrorist Organization (PKK/KCK)", and efforts are underway to capture the four fugitive suspects. Our fight against any terrorist organization and its affiliates that pose a threat to our indivisible integrity will continue with determination until the last terrorist is neutralized." Furthermore, nine individuals from a group who chanted slogans in support of the terrorist leader 'Abdullah Öcalan' while dancing the traditional "halay" by the seaside in Mersin were detained in the past days.
