His lawyers stated that Böcek has been suffering from sleep apnea for a long time, that this condition is advanced, and that reports indicate that his breathing occasionally stops.
A prison sentence of 15.5 to 44 years had been requested for Muhittin Böcek in the investigation against the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
