The Competition Authority approved the acquisition application of Getir, the fast delivery company, by Mubadala Investment Company, one of Abu Dhabi's national wealth funds. Thus, the control of Getir has been transferred to Mubadala.
The Competition Authority has decided on the application made by Mubadala, the national wealth fund of Abu Dhabi, which is the largest partner of Getir, to take control of the company. Thus, the authority has allowed the indirect acquisition of Getir's sole control by Mubadala Investment Company PJSC, based in the United Arab Emirates.
TRANSFER TRANSACTIONS APPROVED
The company had shared in June that it was in the process of restructuring. With the permission, the acquisition of the majority and control shares related to the company's market and food delivery operations by the mentioned entity has been approved.
MINORITY SHARE IN MARKET AND FOOD DELIVERY
In the new structure, the minority shares of Getir's founders will continue in the market and food delivery business. While the control of Getir's other businesses, such as e-commerce and mobility, will remain with the founders of Getir, the majority shares will also be transferred to the founders of Getir.
