In an airstrike that targeted a vehicle in the west of Gaza City, 4 Palestinians lost their lives as Israel violated the ceasefire. The Israeli army claimed that a senior Hamas official was targeted in the attack, while unnamed military officials speaking to the Israeli press alleged that the individual targeted was Raid Saad, one of the most important figures in Hamas's military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10 with Hamas.
4 PALESTINIANS KILLED
According to sources in the health sector, the Israeli army targeted a vehicle carrying civilians on Al-Rashid Al-Bahri Street. In the attack, 4 Palestinians lost their lives, and many others were injured. Eyewitnesses reported that another vehicle next to the targeted one was also damaged.
The airstrike took place in areas of Gaza where Palestinians live and where the Israeli army had previously withdrawn, as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Military officials, who spoke to the Israeli press on condition of anonymity, claimed that the targeted individual was Raid Saad from Hamas's military wing. Israeli media reported that Saad is one of the two most important figures in Hamas's military wing, the Izzedin al-Qassam Brigades.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of a ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt. The agreement was signed in Egypt, where the negotiations took place, and came into effect on October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government. It was stated that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip took effect on the same day after the Israeli army withdrew to the "Yellow Line" as specified in the agreement.
