Finnish young entrepreneur Emilia Karttunen achieved great success in a short time thanks to the pizza muffins she developed. At just 23 years old, Karttunen reached a turnover of over 1 million euros within a few weeks with the company she founded last year.
The "pizza muffins" developed by young entrepreneur Karttunen in Finland gained significant attention nationwide after winning the recipe competition organized by S-Group.
According to Yhteishyvä magazine, Karttunen launched his pizza muffins in January in the frozen product aisles of S-Group, one of Finland's leading retail chains. The young entrepreneur stated that the process of starting his own business progressed much faster than he expected.
OPPORTUNITY BROUGHT BY THE RECIPE COMPETITION
By winning the recipe competition organized by S-Group, Karttunen earned the right to place his product directly on the shelves and participated in an intensive development program for six months. During the program, he gained significant experience in professional product management. Designed as a combination of two popular snacks, the pizza muffins quickly attracted great interest from consumers. Antti Oksa, the Food Retail Director of S-Group, noted that the product was adopted faster than expected.
SALES SOARED, NEW FLAVORS ON THE WAY
Karttunen expressed that he did not foresee the product achieving success in such a short time. Now, he is working on new flavors and preparing to expand his product range. Although the sales intensity from the initial period may return to normal, the young entrepreneur expects sales to peak again in December, when frozen pizzas are most preferred in Finland.
