Yesterday morning, as a result of one of the helicopters conducting training flights in the Keçiborlu district of Isparta crashing, 6 soldiers, including Isparta Army Aviation School Commander Brigadier General İsa Baydilli, were martyred. Among the martyred soldiers was Technician Air Non-Commissioned Officer Sergeant Taha Nergiz. The funeral of Technician Air Non-Commissioned Officer Sergeant Taha Nergiz, the eldest of the 4 children of the Zübeyde-Ahmet Nergiz couple living in the rural Güzelyurt neighborhood of the Palandöken district, was brought to Erzurum by military aircraft after the ceremony in Isparta. A welcoming ceremony was held for Martyr Nergiz. The ceremony was attended by the Erzurum protocol, military and civil officials, as well as the relatives of the martyred soldier. After a moment of silence at the ceremony, the biography of the martyred soldier was read. During this time, the relatives of Martyr Nergiz experienced emotional moments. A FATHER'S CRY BROUGHT TEARSThe coffin of the martyred Air Non-Commissioned Officer Taha Nergiz, carried on the shoulders by the honor guard, was taken to the funeral vehicle while his father, Ahmet Nergiz, shouted, "Be quiet, Taha is sleeping." The funeral, placed in the funeral vehicle, was taken to the rural Güzelyurt neighborhood, 25 kilometers away from the city center, for burial. It was learned that Nergiz, who was single and completed his training at the Army Aviation Command, started his duty in the 4th Army Aviation Regiment affiliated with the Army Aviation Command on September 5, 2023, and would be sent off on his final journey here. FUNERAL PRAYER UNDER FOGThe funeral of Technician Air Non-Commissioned Officer Sergeant Taha Nergiz, who was martyred in the helicopter crash in Isparta, was brought to the rural Güzelyurt neighborhood of the Yakutiye district. The funeral ceremony held in the village square was attended by the protocol, as well as the relatives of the martyr and citizens. In the area affected by dense fog, Erzurum Mufti Rüstem Can led the funeral prayer for the martyr. During the ceremony, the martyr's father, Ahmet Nergiz, wept as he embraced his son's coffin. Other relatives of the martyr were also seen crying as they held onto the coffin. After the prayer, the body of martyr Taha Nergiz was laid to rest in the village cemetery amidst tears.
