The United States carried out an attack on a boat involved in drug trafficking linked to foreign terrorist organizations off the coast of Venezuela, following President Donald Trump's order for a "deadly strike," resulting in the deaths of six individuals. Venezuela responded to the attack by stating that the true aim of the U.S. is the country's natural resources.

The order for a "lethal attack" by U.S. President Trump led to an attack on a boat off the coast of Venezuela, resulting in the deaths of 6 people.

Following Trump's order for a lethal attack, a strong reaction came from Venezuela. In a statement, it was noted that the U.S. is preparing for a blockade and that their main goal is the country's natural resources.

"THEY ARE CREATING SPACE FOR DRUG TRAFFICKERS"

Jorge Rodriguez, the President of the National Assembly of Venezuela (AN), claimed that the U.S. is creating space for drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea. Speaking at a meeting organized by the National Sovereignty and Peace Council in the capital Caracas, Rodriguez criticized the U.S. military activity in the Caribbean region.

Rodriguez accused the U.S. of creating space for drug traffickers, stating, "If Washington really wanted to fight drug trafficking, it would consider that 85% of the drugs reaching the U.S. pass through the Pacific."

"THE U.S. IS EYEING OUR COUNTRY'S NATURAL RESOURCES"

Rodriguez emphasized that the real aim of the U.S. is to blockade Venezuela and ultimately seize the country's natural resources, adding: "Drug traffickers in Ecuador, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Mexico must be very pleased. The threats in the Caribbean, especially towards Venezuela, are creating space for them (the drug traffickers)."

Rodriguez stated that they take security in the country very seriously, asserting, "We assure you that Venezuela is a safer country today than the U.S., Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, and Panama."

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had given an order for a "lethal attack" on a boat allegedly involved in drug trafficking off the coast of Venezuela. Trump stated that the attack took place in international waters, noting that 6 people on the boat lost their lives in the attack, while U.S. soldiers were unharmed.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Under Trump's orders, a naval force consisting of a submarine and 7 warships was sent to the Caribbean region, off the coast of Venezuela, and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had also stated that the U.S. military was ready for operations, including regime change in Venezuela.

The targeting of some boats off the coast of Venezuela by the U.S. on the grounds of "drug trafficking" has led to criticism from both the Venezuelan government and the international public, with claims that the attacks are "contrary to international law."
