Abdullah Kiğılı, Chairman of the Board of Kiğılı, shared his stories and observations about the sector during his speech at the event. Kiğılı, who narrated the journey of the Kiğılı brand from the 1960s to the present, also touched upon recent developments.
"WE CANNOT GROW WITHOUT SHOPPING MALLS"
According to a report by Yener Karadeniz from Ekonomim, Kiğılı stated, "We cannot grow without shopping malls. Some of my friends went on strike against shopping malls and closed their stores. I fought and struggled to prevent that from happening. I stand with both my retail friends and the shopping malls. Today, there are over 200 Kiğılı stores in 70 provinces."

The government has given up on ready-to-wear and textiles. It is reaching a point where we will struggle to find producers. This is the biggest disaster awaiting us. Production will stop in 6 months. Factories in Anatolia are closing. Production is shifting to Egypt. We need to come together very frequently. There is a great danger awaiting us. If there is no production, how will we replace the goods? I am saying this here today, troubles are beginning," he expressed.
