Three suspects who came to the front of the AK Party Provincial Headquarters in the Bağlar neighborhood of Iğdır examined the surroundings for a while and then fled after throwing their Molotov cocktails at the building around 19:00. The fire that broke out in the entrance of the building was extinguished by nearby citizens. A large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. TWO OF THE THREE SUSPECTS WERE CAPTUREDTeams that took extensive security measures in the area captured and detained two of the three suspects who fled in a stopped vehicle. One suspect who escaped from the scene is being sought. Additionally, the attack on the AK Party building was recorded moment by moment by security cameras. Minister Tunç stated, "An official investigation has been initiated by the Iğdır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the attack, and 2 suspects have been detained. Such dirty attacks and provocations against our democracy and national will will never destroy our national unity and brotherhood." he said.
