Former Fenerbahçe coach Aykut Kocaman made statements about his future on A Spor screens. The experienced coach commented on not coaching a team, stating that he could only work at Fenerbahçe or the National Team.

In response to the question, "Why did you take a break from coaching?", Aykut Kocaman said, "During the pandemic, when there were no spectators, the managers started to make decisions more quickly. Additionally, the people we worked with began to struggle with paying the staff and players. When asking something from the players, obligations need to be fulfilled. These factors distanced me from coaching. I have always had a good relationship with the players. There can be minor conflicts, but after a certain period, it always went as it should. Recently, there were issues with player relationships at Başakşehir. Then I made a decision."
