The leader of the DEVA Party, Ali Babacan, evaluated the inflation figures announced today. Babacan stated, "The government has been saying for exactly 7 years that inflation will drop to a single digit. Just a month ago, they announced the inflation forecast for the end of 2025 as 28.5%. Today, the inflation for October was announced as 32.87%. Inflation is not falling below 30%, and it cannot be reduced."
The inflation figures that will determine the salary increases for civil servants, retirees, and rents have been announced. According to the data released by TÜİK, inflation increased by 2.55% in October, while the annual rate reached 32.87%.

"OUR CITIZENS MEASURE REAL INFLATION WITH THEIR KITCHENS"
No matter what they do, inflation is not going below 30%, it cannot be reduced. The biggest crisis in the economy is now insecurity. A country's economy cannot be managed by saying 'Trust us.' Proper staff, transparency, and accountability are needed; law is needed, justice is needed.
Our citizens are already measuring real inflation not with TÜİK figures, but with the market and their kitchens. Rent is increasing every month, school expenses never end, and salaries are eroding. No goal can be achieved without facing the realities and alleviating the burden on citizens," he stated.
