İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu threw a noose at MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, who said about terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, "If the isolation is lifted, let him come and speak in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, let him proclaim that the organization has been dissolved." Bahçeli took the noose and hung it in his office. While everyone was curious about the reason for this behavior, Bahçeli made a striking statement. "LET THEM NOT BE EAGER TO MEASURE WITH A GREASY ROPE"Speaking at the Ziya Gökalp Symposium held by the Turkish Academy of Political Social Strategic Research Foundation on the 100th anniversary of his death, Bahçeli also responded to Dervişoğlu. Stating, "We took our lesson from history," Bahçeli said, "We are Turks, we are Turkists, we are Turkish nationalists. No one should compete with us in the field of patriotism and nationalism in service to Turkishness. Let them not be eager for political shows and to measure with a greasy rope. We will leave their eagerness in their throats and bring them to their knees. We do not consider those who sell their conscience for position and rank as human beings." WHAT DID DERVİŞOĞLU SAY?The leader of the İYİ Party, in his speech to the party group, said, "Get out of here. This is the Assembly of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This is the place where the Republic of Turkey was founded. This beast cannot enter this Assembly without trampling on our corpses. You couldn't hang Abdullah Öcalan, but you hung the dreams of this nation. You caused this nation to feel shame. You come out and say, 'This is a milestone.' If it is a milestone, then let it have a memory too. Now take this rope and hang it at the head of your seat," he said.
