The entertainment venue named "Tek Yön" in Taksim, which announced it would hold a gay-themed party on a cruise ship in the Bosphorus, has been closed. After the party announcement spread on social media and drew reactions, teams acting on the instructions of the Istanbul Governorate carried out a comprehensive inspection at the establishment.
CLOSED AFTER THE INSPECTION
As a result of the inspections, it was determined that the venue was engaged in activities contrary to regulations. The operation was terminated by the Beyoğlu District Governorate, and a sealing process was implemented.
In a statement issued by the Governorate, the following expressions were included: "During the inspections conducted on the instructions of the Istanbul Governorate, the bar establishment named Tek Yön, operating in the Cihangir neighborhood of Beyoğlu District, was closed by the Beyoğlu District Governorate due to its practices and operations contrary to regulations."
