Barcelona has signed Dani Olmo! The release clause is staggering.

Spanish giant Barcelona has signed former player Dani Olmo, who plays for German Bundesliga team Leipzig and has been trained in its youth academy. The Catalan team has signed a contract with the 26-year-old Spanish number 10 until 2030.

TRANSFER FEE 55 MILLION, RELEASE CLAUSE 500 MILLION EUROS

La Liga team Barcelona paid 55 million euros to German representative Leipzig to bring Dani Olmo, who joined its youth academy in 2007 and played in all youth categories until 2014, back to its squad after 10 years. The Catalans have also set the release clause in Olmo's contract at 500 million euros.

RETURNED AFTER 10 YEARS

Dani Olmo, who started his football career in the Espanyol youth academy in 2007, transferred to Barcelona's youth academy in the same season and wore the Catalan team's jersey in all youth categories until 2014. Olmo, who transferred to Ukrainian team Dinamo Zagreb in 2014, headed to the Bundesliga in 2020. The star player returned to Barcelona after 10 years, where he was trained but did not play for the first team.

Dani Olmo played 25 matches in all competitions, including 20 as a starter, with Leipzig last season. Olmo showed a performance of 8 goals and 5 assists in these matches.
