Beşiktaş made a surprising move for the Galatasaray derby, which will be officiated by Yasin Kol, by bringing a world-renowned former referee to Istanbul. The former referee will watch the derby from a screen and provide personal insights on all controversial situations, which will be communicated to the club official.
In the 29th week of the Super League, after the announcement that referee Yasin Kol would officiate the derby between Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, the black-and-white team reacted to the decision. Beşiktaş, which applied to the TFF for a foreign referee to officiate the derby but had this request denied, made a surprising move.
REFEREE MOVE
Beşiktaş has made a special plan to evaluate the decisions of referee Yasin Kol. Accordingly, a foreign and a local former referee, whom the black-and-white team has approached, will watch the derby from the screen and make personal assessments regarding all controversial positions. The former referees will immediately relay their comments to the club official. This official will then share the comments minute by minute on the club's social media accounts.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Beşiktaş Club applied to the Turkish Football Federation, requesting a foreign referee to be appointed for the derby against Galatasaray. However, the TFF did not accept this request. Following this, President Serdal Adalı and the board of directors invited the TFF to resign, and then decided to bring in a retired foreign referee to comment on the positions.
