Big shock for Khabib Nurmagomedov: He was abruptly taken off the plane.

The former UFC lightweight champion, Dagestani mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov, was removed from a flight at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, USA, which sparked reactions.

HAD A DISPUTE WITH THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT OVER THE EMERGENCY EXIT

Nurmagomedov, whose seat was located next to the emergency exit, was seen having a dispute with the flight attendant regarding what to do in case of an emergency in a post he shared on the social media platform X. In the footage on social media, Nurmagomedov was seen sitting in his seat next to the emergency exit while a cabin crew member questioned whether he was ready to assist other passengers in an emergency.

"SHE WAS PERSISTENT ABOUT REMOVING ME FROM MY SEAT"

Nurmagomedov stated, "First of all, I must clarify that the incident happened on Fly Frontier, not Alaska Air. The lady who was asking me questions was very rude from the beginning. Even though I speak very good English and could understand everything and agreed to help, she was persistent about removing me from my seat. I’m not sure if the reason was racial, national, or something else."

Nurmagomedov noted that after a 2-minute conversation, the attendant called security, saying, "Then I was removed from the plane. An hour and a half later, I boarded another airline and continued my journey. As you can see in the video, I tried to remain calm and respectful. But the crew members could do better next time and be kinder to customers."

FLEW WITH ANOTHER COMPANY 1.5 HOURS LATER

Nurmagomedov stated that he continued his flight with another airline about an hour and a half after the incident. Frontier Airlines has not yet made a statement regarding the matter. The Muslim athlete, who completed his UFC career with an undefeated record of 29-0, is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time.
