Mehmet Türkmen, the President of BİRTEK-SEN, who was arrested for supporting the striking workers at Gaziantep Başpınar Organized Industrial Zone, was released after 35 days. The union announced this situation by stating, "Resistance has won."
On the 35th day of his detention, a release decision was made for Mehmet Türkmen, the General President of the United Textile, Weaving and Leather Workers' Union (BİRTEK-SEN), who supported the workers' strike in Başpınar Organized Industrial Zone, which includes the factory of AK Party Gaziantep Deputy İrfan Çelikaslan.
Mehmet Türkmen, who was detained for supporting the workers on strike due to low wages and poor working conditions in Gaziantep Başpınar Organized Industrial Zone and was arrested on February 17, was announced to be released via BİRTEK-SEN's X account.
