Volkan Demirel made a confident statement before the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray derby to be played over the weekend. Despite retiring from football, Demirel stated that he would display the same performance if he were to play. "Let me play in the derby this weekend, I will still deliver the same performance," he said. Admitting to gaining some weight, Demirel said, "Yes, I gained a little weight, but if I train for 3-4 days, I will play the match perfectly."

Former football player Volkan Demirel, who is currently the coach of Hatayspor, is now working as a commentator.

Demirel, who also commented on the derby between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, said that even though he has retired from football, he would still perform at the same level if he were to play.

"LET ME TRAIN FOR 3-4 DAYS, I'LL PLAY"

Demirel said, "Let me play in the derby this weekend, I will still perform at the same level. I have gained some weight, but if I train for 3-4 days, I will play well in the match."
