British content creator Bonnie Blue, known for her sexual relationship documentary aired on Channel 4, was detained in the famous holiday island of Bali along with 17 men. The young woman, whose real name is Tia Billinger, could face up to 15 years in prison following her arrest in Bali. Defense lawyers stated that the most likely outcome would be deportation and a lifetime ban on entering Indonesia.
Police in Bali's Badung/Kuta area raided a studio on allegations of "producing adult films." During the operation, 17 foreign nationals, including British adult content producer Bonnie Blue, were detained. It was reported that most of those detained were tourists, with many being Australian citizens, and a few British citizens also among the group.
HIS PASSPORT WAS CONFISCATED
After initial examinations, 14 Australians were released, but Bonnie Blue and a few others continued to be held for investigation. It was noted that Blue's passport was confiscated and her statement was being taken by immigration authorities.
PREPARING TO PRODUCE CONTENT WITH TOURISTS
The operation was carried out following allegations that Blue had rented a local minibus in Bali to produce content with tourists for a concept known as "Bang Bus." The raid was reported to have been organized after posts spread on social media and tips were received.
TARGETING YOUNG PEOPLE WHO JUST TURNED 18
According to reports in the international press, the operation is particularly significant as it took place during the days when high school graduation celebrations (Schoolies) are heavily celebrated in Bali. It was alleged that Blue was planning a shooting tour targeting young people who had just turned 18 during this period.
A LARGE NUMBER OF DIGITAL MATERIALS SEIZED
During the police raid, a large number of cameras and digital materials, 19 costumes labeled "School Bonnie Blue," and a minibus reportedly specially arranged for content production, along with vehicle documents, were confiscated.
FACING 15 YEARS IN PRISON
It was announced that British-born adult film star Bonnie Blue could face up to 15 years in prison following her arrest on the island of Bali. On the other hand, defense attorneys stated that the most likely outcome would be deportation and a lifetime ban from entering Indonesia.
"HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF DEPORTATION"
Indonesian immigration expert Philo Dellano stated that if Blue is found guilty, there is a "high likelihood" of her being deported from the country. Dellano said, "She is being held in police custody, which means she could be referred to the prosecutor's office. However, if an unseen hand intervenes, she could be immediately transferred to immigration and deported." Dellano noted that the structure of the adult film industry and potential financial backers behind Blue could complicate the process, suggesting, "That might be why she chose Bali. In such a case, it would be easier to be deported. But since the incident has gained significant media attention, authorities might prefer to wait for the situation to calm down and release her in January or February."
