Bolu Mayor and former CHP Bolu Deputy Tanju Özcan stated that he has requested a meeting with President Erdoğan several times but has not received a response. Özcan, in a video shared on his social media account, called on Erdoğan to "give this appointment and be free."
After being expelled from the CHP due to his statements against former party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the party administration, Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan made a call to President Erdoğan in a video shared on his social media account today. Özcan, who used striking expressions in his post, said, "Please don't make me walk all the way to Ankara by creating a new route for me. Give me that appointment and get rid of me."
Despite repeatedly requesting an appointment from President Erdoğan, Özcan did not receive a response. In his post, he used the following expressions:
"I REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT 73 TIMES AND YOU DID NOT GIVE IT"
My call to President Erdoğan! Mr. @RTErdogan, I requested an appointment from you 73 times and you did not give it. During this time, you met with everyone you called a murderer, coup plotter, and oppressor, but you did not meet with me. Do I have to be a coup plotter in order to meet with you? Do I have to be affiliated with FETÖ? Or do I have to support the PKK and its affiliates? What is my crime, being a Kemalist and Turkish nationalist? Please don't make me walk all the way to Ankara by creating a new route for me. Give me that appointment and get rid of me.
HE WALKED FROM BOLU TO ANKARA
After being referred to the High Discipline Board with a definite expulsion request, Tanju Özcan walked from Bolu to Ankara with the slogan "Justice and Change". Özcan completed his walk in front of the CHP Headquarters.
