The last post made by Cansever before his death, who passed away at the age of 59 while battling leukemia, was heartbreaking. The artist, who described constantly receiving serum, antibiotics, and medication, and that his blood pressure dropped and his fever rose, had addressed his loved ones with the words: "Don't hold back your prayers until this stabilizes. I ask nothing else from you."

Cansever, who left his mark on the 90s and was known for arabesque songs such as “Ağla Gözbebeğim”, “Sen de Gittin” and “Kime Bu İnat”, passed away at the age of 59 after his battle with leukemia.

The artist, who was diagnosed with leukemia last December and treated in Germany, underwent a bone marrow transplant on March 26, 2026. After the transplant, Cansever, whose treatment and check-ups continued, shared developments about his health condition with his fans in the following period.

After Cansever's death, his last post made before his passing drew attention.

During his ongoing treatment, the artist, who provided information about his health condition, described that he had difficulty speaking and writing, and was constantly receiving serum and medication therapy.

Cansever had addressed his fans with these words:

“My dear ones, don't worry. In the name of Allah, this too shall pass. There are many who write and call; I can't speak, I can't write. I'm constantly receiving serums, antibiotics, and medications, and I'm constantly lying down. My blood pressure keeps dropping, my fever keeps rising. Let's see how long this will last. Don't stop your prayers until this stabilizes. I ask nothing else from you.”

HE ONLY ASKED FOR PRAYERS FROM HIS FANS

In his last message, Cansever's attempt to maintain hope while describing his health problems drew attention. While stating that his blood pressure was constantly dropping and his fever was rising, the famous artist expressed that he was waiting for his treatment to stabilize.

Addressing those who called and sent messages wondering about him, Cansever stated that he could not speak or write due to his health condition, and only asked his fans not to stop their prayers.

DIAGNOSED WITH LEUKEMIA AT THE END OF 2025

Cansever was diagnosed with leukemia at the end of 2025. The artist, who announced his illness in December, began chemotherapy treatment in Germany.

During the treatment process, a suitable bone marrow/stem cell donor was found for Cansever. The artist underwent a bone marrow transplant on March 26, 2026, and it was announced that the operation was successful.

After the transplant, Cansever remained under observation in the hospital for a while and shared with his fans in the following weeks that his health was improving. However, the artist, whose treatment continued, lost his life at the age of 59.

WHO IS CANSEVER?

Cansever, whose real name is Dzansever Dalipova, was born on July 8, 1967, in the city of Veles, North Macedonia. Growing up as the youngest of seven children in a family, the artist developed an interest in music from an early age.

Cansever, who lost an eye due to an accident at just 12 years old, did not abandon music despite the difficulties he faced. He began his professional music career in 1992 with the album “Kemano Başal E Romenge” released in North Macedonia.

BECAME FAMOUS IN TURKEY WITH THE IBO SHOW

One of the important turning points in Cansever's recognition by large audiences in Turkey was being a guest on the Ibo Show hosted by İbrahim Tatlıses in 1997.

The artist, who received great acclaim with his performance of the folk song “Kara Çadır” on the program, entered the Turkish music scene the same year by releasing the album “Meçhul”.

Combining Romani music, Balkan melodies, and arabesque music with his unique interpretation, Cansever reached a wide audience with works such as “Kara Çadır”, “Cemalim”, “Kime Bu İnat”, and “Yollar Hasta Ben Yorgunum”.

HE FOUGHT A SERIOUS ILLNESS FOR YEARS

One of the major health problems in Cansever's life was the ankylosing spondylitis he contracted at a young age. The artist was diagnosed in 1994.

Experiencing serious physical problems for many years due to his illness, Cansever lived bent over double for about 15 years.

The artist, who moved to Germany in 2007 for treatment, largely recovered from the hunchback problem he had suffered for years after an operation in 2009 and continued his music work.

Going through difficult processes including the loss of an eye at a young age, the spinal disease he fought for years, and finally leukemia treatment, Cansever left his mark on the Turkish music world by continuing his music career with his unique interpretation.
