ÇAYKUR announced that the payments for fresh tea purchased in August have been transferred to the accounts of the producers. The payments to the farmers will provide significant support to the economy of tea producers.
The eagerly awaited announcement from the ÇAYKUR General Directorate regarding fresh tea producers in the Eastern Black Sea region has been made. It was reported that payments totaling 1 billion 719 million lira have begun to be made to producers for 101 thousand 65 tons of fresh tea purchased in August. In the statement, it was expressed that the payments have been transferred to the producers' bank accounts, and it was noted that producers can withdraw their money starting from today.

In a statement made by ÇAYKUR in May, it was announced that the purchase price for fresh tea for the year 2024 was set at 17 lira per kilogram, and the support payment given to producers was determined to be 2 lira. Thus, it was conveyed that the total amount for fresh tea in 2024 would be 19 lira per kilogram for the producers.
