A family living on the summit of Ahır Mountain in Kahramanmaraş has to light a stove even in the middle of summer. While daytime temperatures exceed 30 degrees, nighttime temperatures drop to 10 degrees. Emine Demircik, who lives in the region, said, "While everyone can't stand in 40-50 degree heat, we are living a winter life. We are engaged in livestock farming here. We have a natural refrigerator underground where we store our products. The stove is nice in the summer; we cook our tea on it. You can reach the city center in half an hour, but it gets cold because we are at the peak. We light the stove in the summer season," she said.
