The Court of Cassation's 2nd Civil Chamber ruled that the man, who resigned under the pretext of working conditions, constantly changed jobs, and showed indifference to his wife, was fully at fault, and decided to divorce the young couple.

Frequently changing jobs harms marital unity and deeply affects family cohesion.

A young woman from a couple who had been living like strangers in the house for some time applied to the Family Court and filed for divorce. The plaintiff woman stated that the man constantly consumed alcohol and insulted and swore at her. She claimed he did not meet the household needs, blamed his mother-in-law, and spread gossip about her in the neighborhood. Testifying in court, the plaintiff alleged that her husband frequently changed jobs. The defendant man argued that the accusations were not true and that the parties continued to live in the same house, requesting the dismissal of the case. The court found the woman's request justified and ruled for the couple's divorce.

"THE MAN IS HEAVILY AT FAULT"

The defendant man also appealed the decision. The Court of Cassation's 2nd Civil Chamber noted that neglecting one's spouse and constantly changing jobs are grounds for divorce. Emphasizing that the man was heavily at fault, the Court of Cassation's decision highlighted that the Family Court's ruling was appropriate and denied the man's appeal.

"IT IS EVIDENT THAT HE CONSTANTLY CHANGED JOBS"

In the decision, it was stated: "It is evident that the defendant man severely neglected his marital duties during the actual continuation of the marriage, did not show interest in his wife, constantly consumed alcohol, did not work regularly, and frequently changed jobs. It has been determined and proven that there is a discord between the parties of such a degree as to fundamentally shake the common life and render the continuity of the union impossible, and the first instance court's decision to accept the plaintiff woman's lawsuit has been found not erroneous."
