A chemical leak occurred in a chemical tank at the Polisan Chemical Factory in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli. The local municipality urged residents to keep their doors and windows closed. During the chemical leak, moments of panic as nearby residents fled were captured on a mobile phone camera.
A leak has started in the chemical tank located at the Polisan factory in the Diliskelesi area for an undetermined reason. Following the report, expert teams were dispatched to the region.

After the incident, Diliskelesi Muhtar Adem Kaya stated, "A chemical leak has occurred from the Poliport-Polisan facilities. There is a significant leak. We urge all our citizens; do not leave your doors and windows open. Please try to avoid going outside. As a community, we constantly face such dangers. Our industrialists also need to take responsibility and show sensitivity regarding this issue. A major leak is currently happening. We call on everyone to be cautious for the health of our citizens," he said.
