In Ümraniye, Istanbul, the dirty water flow for about 2 months has caused public outrage. Following the reactions, İSKİ stated that there is a temporary cloudiness in the water due to ongoing works on the transmission lines between the Ömerli Drinking Water Treatment Plant and the Çamlıca Reservoir.
Recently, the dirty water flowing from the taps in Istanbul has caused a reaction from the citizens. The residents demanded a solution to the situation as soon as possible.
In Ümraniye, Istanbul, the dirty water that flowed after a water cut lasting about 2 months caused a reaction from the citizens.
CITIZENS PROTESTED
A citizen who recorded the situation on video expressed his reaction and stated that he expects the authorities to find a solution to this issue.
STATEMENT FROM İSKİ
In a statement regarding the issue from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), it was said, "Dear relevant parties, due to operational works being carried out on the transmission lines between the Ömerli Drinking Water Treatment Plant and the Çamlıca Reservoir, a temporary cloudiness in the water color has been observed for our subscribers fed by these lines. Our relevant units are carrying out the necessary discharge operations in the field, and it is expected that the water quality in our lines will return to normal shortly. The cloudiness in the water color does not pose any risk to human health."
