The Israeli army once again violated the ceasefire by conducting an airstrike on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. A statement from the army indicated that a high-ranking member of Hezbollah was targeted in the attack, while Israeli media suggested that the individual in question is Haytham Ali Tabatabai, who is considered the second leader of Hezbollah after Secretary-General Naim Qassem and holds the position of the organization's de facto chief of staff.

AIR STRIKE FROM ISRAEL TO BEIRUT Israeli Army Spokesman Avichay Adraee stated on his social media account that they carried out an attack in the Dahiye area of the capital Beirut. Adraee claimed that the Israeli army targeted a high-ranking member of Hezbollah in the attack on Dahiye.
HEZBOLLAH'S NUMBER TWO IS THE TARGET Israeli media suggested that the person targeted in the attack was Haytham Ali Tabatabai. Considered the second leader of Hezbollah after Secretary-General Naim Qassem, Tabatabai also serves as the organization's de facto chief of staff.

Footage shared on social media showed smoke rising from a building hit in Dahiye, a southern suburb of Beirut that suffered extensive destruction from Israeli airstrikes.
ISRAEL'S ATTACKS AND OCCUPATION CONTINUE DESPITE THE CEASEFIRE Israel launched an attack on Lebanon in October 2023, which escalated into a large-scale war in September 2024. More than 4,000 people lost their lives in the war, and approximately 17,000 were injured. Despite a ceasefire agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel on November 27, 2024, it was reported that Israel violated the ceasefire thousands of times.
Israel continues to occupy five hills it seized after October 8, 2023, while also maintaining its presence in some areas it has held for decades. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 331 people lost their lives and 945 were injured in the attacks carried out by Israel, which violated the ceasefire between November 27, 2024, and November 20, 2025.
