The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Nechirvan Barzani, expressed his satisfaction with the report of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, stating that he views it as an important step and a positive trend towards peace and resolution.

The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, welcomed the report of the Turkish Grand National Assembly's (TBMM) National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission. Barzani stated that he considers the report an important step towards peace and resolution, emphasizing that issues should be resolved through peaceful means.

"AN IMPORTANT STEP TOWARDS PEACE AND RESOLUTION"

Barzani made a statement regarding the report of the TBMM National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission on the US-based X social media platform.

Emphasizing that he welcomes the report of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, Barzani said, "I consider this an important step taken towards peace and resolution and a correct trend. The emphasis on the language of politics and dialogue, along with the commitment to peaceful solutions, are fundamental elements for building lasting stability that will benefit the entire region."

"WE SUPPORT EVERY EFFORT THAT OPENS A HORIZON FOR COEXISTENCE"

Barzani stated, "As the Kurdistan Region, we emphasize that we support every effort and step that aims to resolve issues through peaceful means and opens a new horizon for brotherhood and coexistence." He continued his statement as follows:

"We hope that further steps will be taken under the roof of the Parliament to strengthen trust and establish the peace that everyone expects."

THE TERROR-FREE TURKEY COMMISSION HAD ACCEPTED THE REPORT

The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission held its 21st meeting last week, chaired by TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş. The meeting was attended by 50 members of parliament who are part of the commission. After speeches made on behalf of groups and parties, the draft report prepared by the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission was put to a vote. The report was accepted by a majority vote.

TBMM President Kurtulmuş reported that 47 members of parliament voted "in favor," 2 members voted "against," and one member abstained from voting on the report.
