Journalist Cüneyt Özdemir, who was trapped with his son due to clashes between cartels and the army in Mexico, announced that they had left the country by sharing a photo from the plane. Özdemir, who could not thank those who supported him, said, "However, one of them took hate speech to such a level that even I, accustomed to all this, was shocked. This person was targeting us to the Mexican cartel in Spanish."
The violence that began with the killing of Nemesio Oseguera, known as "El Mencho," the leader of one of Mexico's largest criminal organizations, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), turned the streets into a battlefield. Violent clashes occurred in many cities, and numerous people lost their lives.

In his statement, Özdemir used the following expressions: "During our stay in Mexico, there were those who supported us as well as those who mocked our situation, those who took the opportunity to spew their hatred, and even those who poured all their ill intentions onto us. However, one of them took the hate speech to such a level that even I, who is used to all this, was shocked!
