The RTÜK board decided to suspend the programs of the series Sahipsizler, Yabani, and DEHA. One of the series that RTÜK penalized is Arka Sokaklar, which is broadcast on Kanal D.

Şevket Çoruh, who plays the character Commissioner Mesut in the series, made a notable comment regarding the decision. In a post on his social media account, Çoruh stated, "I am proud."

According to the written statement made by RTÜK, the Upper Board convened with a busy monitoring agenda. The first report on the table was about the series 'Arka Sokaklar' broadcast on Kanal D. It was found that the scenes in the series portrayed the beliefs in society as if they were solely in the hands of one person or group, and that a religious group made threatening statements against the state's law enforcement agencies, which was deemed contrary to broadcasting principles. It was concluded that the aired scenes led to the abuse of religious values in society, and Kanal D was subjected to the maximum administrative fine and a broadcast suspension penalty.
